Our favorite destination for dinner and a movie. The food is amazingly good and the quality of the theater (sound, staff, and picture quality) is top notch. We go at least once a month, can’t recommend this place enough.

This place is so much fun. If you're looking for a low key activity to do on a drizzly Friday night, look no further. Half the charm of this place is just showing up and watching whatever's on. The movie doesn't have to be "good" to have a good time, and that's what I love about this place.

Cozy cinema with a single screen that plays older movies. The food items are good and easy to order using their QR code. The tips are included in the prices, which makes it easier to order. The theatre is clean and the ambience is pleasant.

Central Cinema was a fantastic way to watch a Halloween movie during October. I was very impressed by the theater space - tons of comfortable seating and decent audio/visual setup. Food was a bit pricey, but I appreciated the variety of options and everything we received was tasty. Absolutely will return for more movies!

If you could create a movie theater for your friends and family, this is exactly how you'd do it. Nicely laid out seating, great food and drink options, and just an excellent neighborhood vibe.

We've been here twice and really like this theater. Fun selection of films, many indie ones. Chairs are not terribly comfortable, but there are some bench seats that are much better. It's a dine-in theater though so that's always the trade off you make! Plus the food is very decent and the best part is all fees/tips are included, so the price you see is the final price (other than tax). I wish other places would follow their lead on that!

Usually when I watch a movie from my couch at home I fall asleep halfway through it and have to watch it again and most likely another time after that. This theater solves that problem by installing uncomfortable benches instead of the usually plush Lay-Z-Boy type chairs. But that is a good thing! I watched a showing of the original The Shining and it was amazing! I physically could not fall asleep so I saw entire scenes I had missed before at home. At first I thought this must be a director's cut but no. Since I had eaten before I came (check out my review of Smith's just up the street if you are looking for a place to go to before or after the movie) all I got was a hot chocolate with a shot of Irish cream. It was a treat! So tasty and warming. I also had an iced tea which was refreshing. The food menu was extensive and the cocktail/beer/wine menu is extensive as well. The picture quality was spot-on and very easy and comfortable to watch. If I lived here this would be one of my top spots as the staff are friendly and the place is clean, there is plenty of street parking on Union, and the calendar of showings is full of older movies that you will want to see again. I recommend this theater for anyway especially those on a date.

This is a theater with table seating, and serving food and drinks throughout. So, it is not a silent theater, though I didn't find the activity more distracting than the average "silence!" theater. The prices were fair (for the bouzie experience it is) and the food delicious. The staff is courteous and helpful. And the audience seemed genuinely good natured and kind. The one drawback was that there is no reserving particular tables, and they only opened the theater a little before show time (so arriving early just put us in the line of people), so if you have a large-ish group sitting together could present a challenge. Other than that, it was a great experience.

11/10 atmosphere love this place. I went to see K-Pop Demon Hunters here and it was an incredible experience and such a great introduction to the space. Totally unique experience. This is not a typical movie theater, but in a great way. It's just different.

Come for the nostalgia, stay for my questionable choreography. If my life were a movie, the montage of me being happy would be filmed exclusively at Central Cinema. This place is the ultimate antidote to the 'daily grind' of being a functioning adult. I recently went to the 80s Singalong and, let’s just say, the house was so packed and the vibes so high that I found myself on stage giving a performance that nobody asked for but everyone deserved. The food is made from scratch (and tastes like it), and you can order it via QR code without ever having to pause your high-note attempts. Pro tip: Parking in this residential pocket is a competitive sport—bring your friends in one car so you have witnesses when you finally find a spot three blocks away. 10/10, would lose my voice here again.
